It is with profound sadness that the Ivorian Volleyball Federation (FIVVB) announces the passing of Mr. Koffi Koffi Bernard, affectionately known as Manitou, former president and advisor of the federation. His passing on March 13, 2025, has plunged the Ivorian and African volleyball community into mourning.

A prominent figure in Ivorian volleyball, Mr. Koffi Koffi Bernard left an indelible mark on the development and growth of the sport in his country. His unwavering dedication and expertise greatly contributed to the advancement of Ivorian volleyball, both administratively and technically.
As a former president of the FIVVB, he provided strategic vision and invaluable support, working tirelessly to promote the sport and improve conditions for athletes and coaches. His departure leaves a tremendous void within the Ivorian sports community.

In an emotional message, the Ivorian Volleyball Federation expressed its “sincere condolences” to the bereaved family, his loved ones, and the entire Ivorian and African volleyball community, deeply affected by this loss.
