Abuja, the federal capital of Nigeria, is set to host the 2025 edition of the prestigious Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship. With just weeks to go before the competition kicks off, organizers have unveiled the official groupings of the participating teams. Held under the auspices of the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), this tournament promises high-level matchups among the continent’s elite clubs.
The main draw of the tournament will consist of four groups of four teams each.
Pool A:
Group A will see Customs (Nigeria), Mayo (Cameroon), APR (Rwanda), and CFC (Tunisia) go head-to-head. This pool appears well balanced, bringing together seasoned clubs determined to make their way to the final stages.
Pool B:
In Group B, Zamalek (Egypt), one of the heavyweights in African women’s volleyball, will face Kenya Prisons, CNS (Nigeria), and Spiking Stars (Botswana). A highly competitive pool where every match could prove decisive.
Pool C:
The formidable Ahly of Cairo will share Pool C with KCB (Kenya), VC La Loi (Democratic Republic of Congo), and Sococim (Senegal). Backed by an impressive record, the Egyptian side will be looking to assert their dominance from the outset.
Pool D:
Finally, Pool D features Kenya Pipeline, Litto (Cameroon), Police (Rwanda), and Descartes (Côte d’Ivoire). These four teams come into the 2025 edition with high ambitions, and their clashes promise to deliver thrilling moments.
