The official logo of the competition, set to begin on August 2nd, was unveiled this Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in Yaoundé.
Beauty, purity, and simplicity this triptych perfectly captures the essence of the official logo for the U-20 Women’s CHAN that the land of the Indomitable Lions is preparing to host in just four days. For this continental event, which has received the High Approval of the Head of State, the Organizing Committee has chosen a logotype rich in symbolic meaning.
The shape of Africa highlights the continental nature of the competition. At the heart of the continent stands a female volleyball player wearing a jersey in the colors of the Cameroonian flag, marked with the number 1 — a reference not only to the host country, but also to the decisive smash, symbolic of the sporting challenge in which the host nation aims for the top spot on the podium.
The visual unveiled today impresses with its clarity and vibrant colors, offering a preview of the competition’s intensity and excitement.
Beyond the emotional charge that unites the continent around a common ideal, this Africa is delicately drawn as if to emphasize that while the challenge is based in Yaoundé, it resonates throughout the entire continent.
And what can be said about the volleyball floating above the Horn of Africa, carried by the energy of athletic motion, like a promise of pushing beyond one’s limits? Prominently featured above the image are the logos of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the CAVB- African Volleyball Confederation , and the Fecavolley – Fédération Camerounaise de Volleyball a reminder of the institutional weight of the event.
At the bottom, the dates and venue are clearly displayed in both French and English, a sign of Cameroon’s distinctive and affirmed bilingualism.
In short, this logo is a vibrant cocktail of color and imagery, reflecting Cameroon’s legendary hospitality as it welcomes this youth tournament the first of its kind on home soil with open arms to Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Morocco, and Senegal.
