Kenya Pipeline are bronze winners in the 39th CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship following their resounding 3-0 (28-26, 25-14, 25-18) win over CF Carthage.

The first set started strong and an evenly matched few points led KPC ahead of CFC. KPC kept up the lead, celebrating a win. A few deceitful serves put Pipeline one step ahead to win 28-26.

With good confidence from the 1stset, it was time for KPC to shine and fight they did and managed to turn up the heat. All the pieces seemed to fit together for KPC. They kept regrouping the balance on court so as to avoid having huge holes. Their composure and experience kept them going to take the lead 2-0 after they won the set 25-14.

It was an exciting (or nerve wrecking, depends who you ask) game to watch with a “unique” touch in the third set. KPC got the hang of it, they got some great sets, some sneaky tips, good defence and hitting from the rest of the players and, which shouldn’t be surprising by now.

The more their communication improved, the better they started playing and won the third set to secure their 8-bronze medal in the championship.
