Defending champions, Zamalek registered 100% winning record in Pool B following their 3-0 (25-8, 25-14, 25-11) win over Spiking Stars of Botswana on Sunday.
ZMK attacked with purpose and led 8-2 within a few minutes. Powerful hits and monster blocks got a run of points for the Egyptians. ZMK were too strong and ran clear to take the set 25-18.
In the second set ZMK took the first point and a number of errors from SSP put ZMK firmly in front. ZMK led significantly and SSP had little answer as ZMK sealed it 25-14.
SSP were in trouble early on in the 3rd set again as ZMK pushed on confidently. SSP made some few points but, in the end, it was a clean 3-0 sweep, the last set 25-11 to ZMK.
