In a commanding display of strength and coordination, Libya’s Swehly Sports Club overpowered Elwak Wings Volleyball Club from Ghana in straight sets (25-9, 25-15, 25-16) during a group stage match of the 2025 Men’s African Volleyball Club Championship.
From the outset, Swehly demonstrated clear superiority, dominating the first set with a resounding 25-9 win. The Libyan side maintained its momentum throughout the match, executing well-structured plays and displaying solid defensive organization. The second set, though slightly more contested, ended 25-15 in favor of the hosts. Elwak Wings attempted a late rally in the third set but fell short, losing 25-16.
In total, Swehly amassed 75 points to Elwak Wings’ 40, closing the match in just 1 hour and 9 minutes. The set durations – 20 minutes, 25 minutes, and 24 minutes respectively – reflect Swehly’s sustained control over the game from start to finish.
With this dominant performance, Swehly SC reaffirms its ambitions in the competition, while Elwak Wings will need to regroup quickly to remain competitive in the tournament.
